]]>Santa Muerte is more commonly known as the Saint of Death. This skeleton has long been kept inside the home of Senora Enriqueta Romero. You will find her home in the neighborhood of Tepito.
While the skeleton of Santa Muerte was inside this home for many years, the homeowner decided everyone should be able to see this deity. You can see Santa Muerte in the window at the front of the house.
When you arrive to see Santa Muerte, don’t be surprised if there are quite a few other people there. Many of them travel from all over the world to leave daily offerings.
Your family has probably been swimming at beaches during vacations. However, down in Mexico, you can all go swimming in one of the many cenotes.
A cenote is a sinkhole. The cenotes create a massive underground network of caves and channels. They are all full of sparkling water. These cenotes will beckon to you all, welcoming you for a refreshing swim.
One of the best cenotes is Cenote Xkeken. It is a natural cathedral that lets light stream through the rocks to the water below.
This is a toy museum located in the neighborhood of Doctores. This museum has the largest collection of toys in the entire world. The museum is filled to the brim with Barbie dolls, Hello Kitty items, and spaceships.
There are a few creepy toys amongst the mix. So, you may need to use caution if you are visiting with smaller children.
You may not want to use any of the remedies you discover at the Sonora Witchcraft Market. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t be intrigued with what you find during your visit.
As you wander through the market, you will see pots, pans, and other items for sale. But mixed amongst it all are shrunken heads, amulets, and so much more.
If you really want the best experience here, talk to one of the shamans. They are practitioners of ancient healing, and they can explain it all to you.
Las Pozas, or the Pools, can be found near Xilitla. These pools are hidden within a tropical forest high in the mountains. Surrounding the pools are massive sculptures of flowers, cacti, and serpents.
Sit in the pagoda in front of the waterfall. Or wander along the paths in between swims in the pools.
This is a very remote location, so we will need to plan your itinerary accordingly if you want to see it.
This mummy museum is not for the faint of heart. All the bodies within this museum are those whose families couldn’t afford to pay the grave tax back in the mid-19th century.
A few of the bodies are quite disturbing to see. It appears that some people died in extreme pain. And at least one body shows the person was buried alive.
This may not be the best museum for children to wander through. But you may want to pop into this unique place to visit in Mexico while your kids do something else.
The Island of the Dolls, or Isla de las Munecas, has long been a popular attraction. Yet, it is still a unique place to visit in Mexico.
Head out to the canals of Xochimico in a boat to see this island filled with creepy dolls. Those dolls all hang from the trees on the island.
While the island’s caretaker has hung many of the dolls over the years, visitors have also hung their own dolls from the trees.
These are some of the unique places to visit in Mexico during a family vacation. I can understand why some of them might not make it on your list of things to do. However, I’m sure at least one of them has piqued your interest.

]]>Luxurious vacations are a must once you reach a certain age, and Punta Mita doesn’t disappoint! This secluded vacation destination in Mexico may quickly become your new favorite family vacation destination.
Upscale resorts are located amongst all the multimillion-dollar homes. You can stay steps from the white sandy beach. This will be perfect for those long morning walks on the sand and late evening strolls. Oh, and the kids will be thrilled with the opportunity to have surfing lessons so close to the room.
If you do feel like venturing a little further away, I recommend heading over to Isla Marietas National Park. It is the perfect destination for spending time in nature. When you arrive at the park, consider all your options. There is snorkeling, boating, hiking, and whale watching. Simply choose the activity your family will love the most. And then take pictures so you remember it forever.
Tropical rainforests will be waiting for your family when you choose to vacation down in Costa Rica. The charming town of Tamarindo is the perfect place to combine thrilling adventures and quiet time.
Your days can be spent on the beaches of Tamarindo, Grande, and Langosta. The kids can surf while you watch. Although, feel free to jump in the water to join them during their lessons.
Out in the jungle, you can wander through Monteverde’s Cloud Forest or Arenal Volcano National Park. Don’t forget to spend a little time hiking to the beautiful waterfalls Costa Rica is known for.
You can easily take a fall family vacation right here in the US. Las Vegas is an excellent option, even with the kids. You can all walk up and down The Strip, taking in all the sights. There’s the volcano in front of The Mirage, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and of course, the fountains at The Bellagio. Duck into a few of the casinos to see the magic on the inside.
Before the kids start to say they are bored, head over to the theme park at Circus Circus. The kids can go on the rides while you try to win big on the slot machines.
More fun can be had over on Fremont Street. The Downtown Container Park has bridges to cross and a thirty-three-foot slide to go down.
There is no limit to what you can do during a family vacation in Las Vegas.
It will be tempting to simply hang out at your resort when you take a fall family vacation in Punta Cana. However, there is so much waiting for you outside the resort perimeter. The entire family will love ziplining high above the ground at Bavaro Adventure Park.
The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve is an excellent place to learn more about nature in Punta Cana. Your time there may even lead you all to go swimming with dolphins and stingrays before you head home.
If you don’t want that much action, you can easily go swimming in a cenote or simply float down a lazy river.
The island of Kauai isn’t as busy or touristy as Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island. Your family won’t miss a thing, though, because they can still enjoy every moment spent on Kauai. Hanalei Bay is the best beach for surfing.
If you prefer to actually see more of the island, you can explore by helicopter, boat, or horse. Don’t skip a hike on the Kuilau Trail. The views are incredible, and it is one of the best hikes on the island.
Of course, the best way to truly experience authentic Hawaiian culture is by attending a luau. I can arrange for you to attend the best one on the island.
There is so much to see and do during a family vacation in Dubai. If the kids love theme parks, you can visit IMG World of Adventure or the Dubai Parks and Resorts. The latter is a massive theme park complex with all different theme parks.
In between theme park days, you can go shopping at Dubai Mall or relax at Kite Beach. Just make sure you take the time to go snorkeling in the world’s deepest swimming pool.
Depending on where you live, the temperatures can start to cool down during the fall. If your family is yearning for the warmer days of summer again, head out to San Diego. The sun is almost always shining there. Plus, there are plenty of beaches for some rest and relaxation.
If you don’t want to spend time by the water, head to the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Model Railroad Museum, or the San Diego Air and Space Museum. Walk along the harbor at Embarcadero or head to the Cabrillo National Monument.
Vermont is known for its fall foliage. That makes it the perfect destination for a fall family vacation. You can stay in any of the charming towns. However, Stowe is one of the best when it comes to making memories with the family.
To really appreciate the beauty of the changing colors, take a hike through Smugglers Notch State Park. Or drive along the Stowe Scenic Auto Road. You’ll find all sorts of yummy fall treats at the Country Store on Main Street. Although, if you are searching for the best apple cider, you must drive to Cold Hollow Cider Mill.
These are the best fall family vacations in 2023. I am sure at least one of them has now made it onto your list of places to go for your next family vacation.

]]>The post Best Disney World Souvenirs appeared first on integritylawfirmcmr.com.
]]>You can never go wrong when you purchase a set of Mickey, or Minnie, ears during a Disney World vacation. These are the most iconic souvenirs at Disney. Oh, and if Mickey or Minnie doesn’t interest your kids, they have options. Consider Buzz Lightyear, Chip and Dale, or R2D2.
One of the best Disney World souvenirs is the coffee mug. These mugs interest the kids, but adults love them too. You can all choose your favorite and then reminisce about your vacation while sipping hot cocoa at home.
T-shirts, pajamas, and sweatshirts all fly out of the shops at Disney World. They are perfect for wearing on vacation and every day back home. You can even purchase princess costumes, so your girls can look like Disney princesses.
Older kids may not want souvenirs that seem babyish. However, I doubt they will turn down a Disney iPhone case. Especially if it eventually comes with a new iPhone!
I have discovered a couple of tips for surviving Disney World with teens if you need a little help!
Pressed pennies are an excellent way to add smaller Disney World souvenirs to your collection. You can find the pressed penny machines all throughout the theme parks and even Disney Springs. You will have four design options for each machine. Your kids will love choosing their favorites at each one.
The best part about starting to collect these pressed pennies is you can easily find these penny machines at other destinations around the country. So, the kids can add to their collections during future non-Disney World vacations.
If you are searching for a Disney World souvenir the entire family can enjoy, consider a Mickey Mouse cookie jar. When you get back home, you can all bake cookies together and fill the jar.
Serving trays are another excellent souvenir in Disney World. You can use these trays at home to serve up delicious treats your family makes together.
These are the best Disney World souvenirs. There are others you can obviously purchase too. So, depending on your shopping style, you may want to take an empty suitcase with you to Disney World. You may need it to get all the souvenirs you purchase in Disney World back home!
If you said yes, I would like to invite you to schedule a planning session with me by clicking here. When you click on this link, you will be taken to my digital calendar to schedule a time that is convenient for you.

]]>The post Lesser-Known Mayan Ruins in Mexico appeared first on integritylawfirmcmr.com.
]]>My favorite lesser-known Mayan ruins in Mexico happen to be Toniná. This site is located in Ocosingo. It is not as popular as sites like Lagartero, Palenque, and Izapa. However, the breathtaking pyramids and the rest of the ancient city will make it worthy of your time.
The ancient city of Toniná was constructed on a hill in between jungles. All the pyramids within the ancient city were constructed with white stone. Plus, every single architectural feature was built to seek homage to the natural mountains, sky, sun, and the rest of the planets.
The history of this ancient city is long. According to history, people lived in Toniná for at least a thousand years. That time was known as the Classic Mayan Period.
Toniná was known as a city of great military power. In fact, it was one of the most important cities in Mesoamerica.
The main enemy of Toniná was the city of Palenque. You can visit the Mayan ruins of both these destinations during a family vacation in Mexico.
Much more research will need to be completed before it can be determined what exactly caused the decline and disappearance of this ancient city.
The Toniná Acropolis, or Great Pyramid, is seventy-five meters high. Its width covers more than three hundred meters. The entire pyramid contains seven stories. Within those seven stories are thirteen temples, statues, murals, palaces, and a Pitz court.
While this is an immense structure to explore, it is important to note that the entire city has yet to be excavated. There is still seventy percent of Toniná to discover.
While exploring these lesser-known Mayan ruins in Mexico, you must take the time to check out the palatial maze. That maze is called the Palace of the Underworld.
I recommend walking along the Pitz court and checking out the ancient houses. Don’t skip the climb to the top of the pyramid to check out the surrounding area.
So, don’t forget your camera because you will want to grab pictures of the murals and statues. Also, keep in mind that many of the statues are replicas since the originals are being preserved at the Toniná Museum.
You can choose to drive or take the bus to Toniná. The bus is available for the trip from Ocosingo. Although, a car will be necessary if you start the journey in Palenque or San Cristóbal de las Casas.
These Mayan ruins in Mexico are open seven days a week. I recommend taking a tour from local guides if possible. This will ensure you don’t miss any of the intricate details at the ruins.
You won’t regret spending time at these lesser-known Mayan ruins in Mexico. You can choose to see these ruins on their own or include them in a trip to see the most popular Mayan ruins in Mexico. The choice is yours, and I can make it all possible during your next family vacation.
