Have you always wanted to walk along the streets of Paris? What about exploring history in the city of Munich? Well, you can do both with your family during a seven-day amazing vacation in Paris and Munich! Today, I am sharing a sample itinerary of what you can do in these two destinations for a family vacation. Plus, I will show you how you can easily combine a vacation in Paris with a vacation in Munich. The result will be seven days where you can make memories with your family. Especially since I will personalize an itinerary that will have you doing everything your family wants during this exciting time away from home in Paris and Munich.

7 Day Amazing Vacation in Paris and Munich with Your Family

Day One: Paris

A private driver will meet you at the airport in Paris to transport you to your hotel. Once you check in, you can unpack, relax, and enjoy the amenities at the hotel. Or you can walk around the city, embracing the Parisian ambiance.

Of course, you could also take a nap. However, that might not be the best way to begin your family vacation in Paris.

Day Two: Paris

After a delicious breakfast in the morning, your family will head out on a half-day tour of the city. Your adventure will begin in Ile de La Cite. This is where the Cathedral of Notre Dame is located. From there you will go to Place des Vosges, the Louvre (one of the best museums in Paris), Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, and finally the Eiffel Tower.

You will make so many memories during this little adventure through the city. But your favorite part may be the views from the third-floor observation deck at the Eiffel Tower.

After a busy morning, you will head to a wine cellar for a wine tasting. Six different wines from different regions in France will be poured for you. Don’t be surprised if you have a new favorite or two by the end. And purchase a few bottles to take home with you.

Day Three: Paris to Munich

Day two of your amazing vacation was a busy one! But today will be busier, as you all leave Paris to begin your family vacation in Munich. A quick flight will be necessary to get from Paris to Munich. A private driver will transport you from the airport in Munich to your hotel.

After quickly unpacking, it will be time to go on a private tour of the city. Your guide will share the history of the city during this tour. Your guide can customize the tour for your family. So, feel free to ask to see specific sights when you reach your meeting point.

Day Four: Munich

7 Day Amazing Vacation in Paris and Munich with Your Family - Neuschwanstein Castle in Munich

Today is all about castles and palaces. The first stop of the day is Neuschwanstein Castle. This gorgeous castle looks out over the village of Fussen.

You’ll have plenty of time to wander around the grounds of this castle. But before long, it will be time to head over to Linderhof Palace. This was the smallest of the three palaces owned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria.

While this palace was the smallest, it is the only one of King Ludwig II’s three palaces completed before his death.

Day Five: Munich

Day five of your vacation in Munich will be a somber day. This is because your family will be visiting the location of Dachau. This was a concentration camp operated by the Nazis. The horrors experienced here are on display at the museum.

Day Six: Munich

Anyone who loves fairy tale endings will be thrilled with the opportunity to visit the famed walled city of Rothenburg on this next to last day of your family vacation. Walk along the cobblestone streets, as you look at centuries-old buildings and ornate statues.

It will feel like you have stepped back into the Middle Ages, as you explore this city. A couple of the stops you will be making here include Harburg Castle, Museum of Medieval Criminal Justice, and the Christmas Museum.

Day Seven: Munich

This will be your last day in Munich. Depending on the time of your flight, you may not have much time to enjoy many more sights. But if you do, make the most of it, so you can make a few final memories with your family.

There are so many other things you can do during a family vacation in Paris and a vacation in Munich. I can easily add those to your itinerary to make it easier for your family to make memories together.

Do you have a major family milestone coming up in the next year or two? Is a child graduating? Someone retiring? Big birthday or anniversary? If you answered yes to any of those questions, I recommend celebrating by taking an epic family vacation in Tahiti! This beautiful French Polynesian Island is the perfect place to make a few memories you will cherish forever. Imagine long walks along the shoreline with laughter and conversations. Conquering thrilling adventures together. And simply spending time together while your phones are tucked away. It’s all possible when you choose Tahiti for your family vacation destination. Today, I am sharing a sample 12-day itinerary of a vacation in Tahiti. Your itinerary may look completely different when I personalize it to fit your family’s needs. And trust me when I say a personalized itinerary is exactly what you deserve for a fabulous vacation like this!

An Amazing Vacation in Tahiti with Family in 12 Days

Day One: Papeete, Tahiti

The first day of your amazing family vacation in Tahiti will have you arriving in the capital city of Papeete. Once you have cleared customs, you will be met by your tour guide. They will welcome you with a fresh flower lei before transporting you to your accommodations.

The rest of the day will be yours to explore near the hotel and relax.

Day Two: Tetiaroa

After an early breakfast, your family will be taken to the Papeete Pier for a catamaran ride to Tetiaroa. This atoll has long been known as Marlon Brando’s private island. Your day will be spent exploring the beauty Brando saw when he spent time filming a movie on this gorgeous island.

Day Three: Papeete

An Amazing Vacation in Tahiti with Family in 12 Days - Papeete City Center, Tahiti

After a day on a remote island, you will be ready for some family time on day three of your vacation in Tahiti. Spend time near the lagoon. Head to the pool. Or simply relax, as you have meaningful conversations.

Day Four: Diving

This diving adventure will take you into the waters surrounding Tahiti. In fact, this island is one of the best diving areas in the world

There is plenty of marine life to see underwater in Tahiti. However, the most fascinating part of this adventure will be seeing sharks up close in a safe environment. The sharks you will see today include the whitetip reef shark, blacktip reef shark, and lemon shark.

Day Five: Moorea

After a few hours of diving, you will be more than ready to sleep in a little on your fifth vacation day in Tahiti. However, you will need to get moving sooner than later. After all, today is the day your whole family heads over to the island of Moorea.

Day Six: Diving

The water around Moorea will have you seeing some of the same marine life as you saw over in Tahiti. However, the lemon sharks are the most common shark seen in this island’s water. Add in the beautiful coral reef and you will quickly realize you discovered paradise!

Day Seven: Moorea

Today will be a day to explore this stunning island. Moorea may be smaller, but there is still plenty to do. The best part though is every section of this island is charming. And you will find plenty to talk about with the locals.

Days Eight through Eleven: Moorea

After a couple of days of diving, and a day of sightseeing, your family might be getting a little tired. So, the end of this epic family vacation in Tahiti will include some time relaxing in an overwater bungalow.

These days can include swimming in the infinity pool. Walks along the shoreline. A trip to the spa for a few treatments. And don’t forget to do a little shopping at the nearby boutiques. You will need those souvenirs back home!

Day Twelve: Papeete

You won’t want to leave your cozy space on this last day of your family vacation in Tahiti. However, it will be an early departure time, so you can take the catamaran over to Papeete on Tahiti. You will all say your final goodbyes to these islands there, and board the plane to go back home.

This is what an itinerary can look like for an amazing family vacation in Tahiti. I can personalize an itinerary for your family, so you are doing exactly what you all want to do during this time away from home. Your itinerary may include more diving, more time relaxing in paradise, or dozens of other options.

So, are you ready to have me create a personalized family vacation itinerary for your trip to Tahiti or another destination?

If you said yes, I would like to invite you to click here to schedule a personalized family vacation planning session with me. When you click the link, you will be taken directly to my digital calendar to schedule a time that is convenient for you.

Natural beauty, historical sights, hiking adventures, rich cultures, and delicious cuisine are all reasons to consider a family vacation in Peru. If you have been searching for a way to make memories with your family, while completing unique adventures, Peru is the answer. Today, I am sharing a sample itinerary of what your family could experience as you discover the best of Peru in seven days. Your itinerary will most likely look slightly different once I personalize it for your family. And that’s okay, because when you are making memories, you want them to be from activities you all enjoy doing!

Discover the Best of Peru in 7 Days During an Amazing Family Vacation

Day One: Chincharro and Maras

On the very first day of your best of Peru family vacation, you will head to the village of Chincharro. Textiles are made in this village. You will see how the materials are dyed, as well as what is used to create the different colors.

After a delicious lunch, you will be taken to the salt mines near the town of Maras. These salt mines were created more than one hundred million years ago. This salt is for sale, so you may find yourself purchasing some before going to your hotel.

Day Two: Machu Picchu

You cannot vacation in Peru without visiting Machu Picchu. You will travel to this ancient city via train. At the train station, you will board a bus to the Machu Picchu entrance.

When you arrive, you will have ample time to explore the Inca ruins.

Machu Picchu is one of the most popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Check out these underrated UNESCO World Heritage Sites and consider adding them to your future vacation plans.

Day Three: Catalina or Pisac

Discover the Best of Peru in 7 Days During an Amazing Family Vacation - Market in Pisac Peru

Your family will have options for day three of your family vacation to discover the best of Peru. You can stay in Catalina to play with alpacas, relax, or wander around.

Or you can head over to Pisac to see the ruins and animal sanctuary. Since this is a day-long adventure, you will have time to go shopping at the market too.

Day Four: Urco Ruins

The adventure on this day will take your family to the Urco ruins. You will only have a couple hours to explore before being taken back to Catalina for the afternoon. You will all want to go to bed early in preparation for the following day’s hike.

Day Five: The Andes

As spectacular as Machu Picchu was, a hike to the summit of a mountain in the Andes may be your favorite part of this vacation. You will hike together to an elevation of fourteen thousand feet. Then it will be time to check out hieroglyphics that have been in place for more than seven thousand years.

Your family will be tired at the end of this day. However, you will all feel rejuvenated and ready to relive the memories forever!

Day Six: Cusco

A day of exploring the city of Cusco will be exactly what you need after yesterday’s long hike. Start in the Plaza de Armas before venturing out to Shaman’s Row and San Pedro Market. Grab a bite to eat from a local restaurant before heading back to your hotel in Catalina.

Day Seven: Catalina and Cusco

Your family vacation in Peru will be coming to an end on this day. You will have had so much fun discovering the best of Peru that no one will want to return home. However, you must head to the airport for your flight. Hopefully, at some point in the future you will be able to return to see these beautiful sights once again.

As you can see, there are so many unique activities your family can do while exploring Peru on vacation. You can easily see some of the best of Peru when I personalize your family’s itinerary. All you need to do is let me know what everyone is interested in, and you will be making memories of a lifetime in no time at all.

Day Three

Now that you have learned a little about this city from wandering around, it will be time to head out on a guided tour. Today’s adventure will begin at the Ponte Sisto Bridge. You will walk to the Trastevere District. Embrace the narrow streets and lively piazzas before crossing the Tiber River to enter the Jewish Ghetto.

The streets in this area are even smaller Yet, they are all full of history. You will learn more about that history when you enter the Synagogue to explore the Jewish Museum.

Day Four

Today will be a busy day for your family in Rome. In the morning, you will explore many of the sites that made up ancient Rome. The three sites on your list to see are the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum.

After a hearty lunch, it will be time to explore Vatican City. Your family will start at the Vatican Museums. There are so many art galleries to explore during this tour. The highlight though will be the Sistine Chapel. The frescoes by Michelangelo are simply breathtaking!

A stop at St. Peter’s Basilica will be next. It is the largest church in the world. Masterpieces by Michelangelo and Bernini can be seen inside.

Before heading back to your hotel, your family will spend some time in St. Peter’s Square.

Day Five

After a few days in the bustling city of Rome, your family will be happy to escape to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Your driver will pick you up early in the day.

In the morning, your family can spend time exploring the towns of Positano and Amalfi. Then it will be time to head to Pompeii to explore the city that was buried when Mount Vesuvius erupted thousands of years ago. Seeing this preserved site will allow you to understand how the ancient Romans lived and spent their time.

Check out these 8 World Heritage Sites every family should consider seeing!

Day Six

Your last day in Rome will have you seeing St. Mary Major and St. John’s in Lateran. These are both major basilicas in Rome. The former is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, while the latter was the very first Papal residence.

Your days in Rome will have come to an end when this tour is over. You will either head to the airport to catch a flight this evening or you will stay at your hotel and fly out in the morning.

Six days in Rome may or not be enough for your family vacation. We can discuss this and so much more, as I am gathering information that will help me personalize your family’s itinerary. Escaping on a vacation in Switzerland will allow your family to make such precious memories together. This time away from home will have you all out exploring nature. Eating delicious local cuisine. And experiencing the culture this country is known for. Add in thrilling family adventures and you may find yourself wishing you had taken more time off to spend in this beautiful country. Today, I am going to share an example of what your family can do during an eight-day vacation in Switzerland. Your family’s itinerary doesn’t need to look like this one. I can easily personalize your itinerary, so it includes all the adventures your family wants to do.

Epic Vacation in Switzerland with Your Family in 8 Days

Day One: Zurich to Lucerne

Your vacation in Switzerland will begin as soon as you land at the airport in Zurich. Your private driver will meet you at the airport. They will transport you to your hotel in Lucerne. The trip to the hotel should take less than an hour.

At your hotel, you can check in and then wander around to see what amenities are available to you. You may even want to venture out and start seeing the sights in this gorgeous city.

Day Two: Lucerne

Epic Vacation in Switzerland with Your Family in 8 Days - Lion Monument in Lucerne, Switzerland

Hopefully your family managed to get a good night’s sleep after a long day of travel. You will need the rest, as you are out exploring Lucerne on day two of your vacation in Switzerland.

Your day will begin with a walk across Chapel Bridge. This bridge was constructed back in the 14th century. You will then cross the Mill Bridge to see the Dance of Death paintings.

Other sights you will see on this day include the Musegg Wall, Town Hall, and the Lion Monument. If your family is interested, a visit to the Swiss Transport Museum can be arranged as well.

The one stop you won’t want to miss on this incredible day is the Max Chocolatier facilities. You can tour the facilities where they make the chocolate. And then taste as much of it as you want at the end. If your family has a sweet tooth, you may want to plan to spend more time at Max Chocolatier than anywhere else in this city!

Day Three: Lucerne to St. Moritz

Day three of your Switzerland family vacation will be a travel day. You will board a train to travel from Lucerne to St. Moritz. It will take approximately four hours for this journey.

You will have the entire afternoon to explore St. Moritz on your own.

Day Four: St. Moritz to Zermatt

Unfortunately, some of the best cities in Switzerland are quite far from each other. Therefore, today will also be spent on a train, as you travel from St. Moritz to Zermatt.

This eight-hour journey will take you through the breathtaking Swiss countryside. The train will pass over more than two hundred bridges. It will also go through ninety-one tunnels. The highlight will be when you are going over the Oberalp Pass. This is an excellent way to see the Swiss Alps during your family vacation.

Not sure if Switzerland is the best vacation option for your family? Maybe you would all love to visit some of the best fairy tale castles in the world instead!

Day Five: Zermatt

The activities you do in Zermatt will depend on the time of the year you vacation in Switzerland. During the winter months, your family can ski or snowboard up in the mountains. If you happen to arrive when there is no snow, you can easily hike one of the trails.

Day Six: Zermatt to Geneva

After a fun day in the mountains, you will be more than ready to head to Geneva. After your train ride, your family will want to stretch their legs a bit. You can wander around the Patek Philippe Museum. Or you can simply walk along the streets, while doing a little souvenir shopping.

Day Seven: Geneva

It is getting close to the end of your family vacation in Switzerland. This is the day to make some of those final memories together. You know, the memories you will talk about during the next holiday and all future holidays.

Today will be spent near the shores of Lake Leman. You will see the world’s tallest fountain, Jet d’Eau.

Over in Old Town, you will see St. Peter’s Cathedral, Halle de Rive, and Place Neuve. If you didn’t do enough shopping the day before, you can head to the shopping district in Geneva.

You will find plenty of gifts to take back home. I highly recommend stocking up on chocolate. Especially the Pavés de Genève. These are yummy and you will definitely need more than you think. If you don’t purchase enough, I guarantee they will be gone before your plane even touches the ground back home.

Day Eight: Geneva

Your family vacation in Switzerland is over and it will be time to head to the airport. You may have time to go on one last walk through the streets of Geneva before you go. Use the time to take family pictures, grab a little extra chocolate, and embrace the memories you have all made together.

Eight days in Switzerland can be magical for families like yours. Your time in this spectacular country can be completely different than what I have described here. I can easily personalize your itinerary, so it includes all the activities and attractions your family wants to do and see. We can discuss the possibilities when we chat.

So, are you ready to have me create a personalized family vacation itinerary for your trip to Switzerland or another destination?

If you said yes, I would like to invite you to click here to schedule a personalized family vacation planning session with me. When you click the link, you will be able to schedule a time that is convenient for you.

As an expert family travel advisor, I strive to create personalized vacation itineraries for families like yours. Over the years, I have teamed up with reputable companies who have created European vacations for other travelers. I’ve learned a few things working with those companies and by traveling throughout Europe myself. One of my favorite family adventures is traveling through Italy. The unforgettable culture, rich traditions, and vibrant history is something your entire family will love.

Italy Family Adventure: Rome, Tuscany, Florence, and Venice

Now is the time to grab your walking shoes and get ready for a family adventure of a lifetime. I am ready to plan your action-packed, all-inclusive vacation in Italy. You will spend your days exploring the countryside. Nights can be spent sipping on wine, as you watch the sunset from a local restaurant or the Spanish Steps.

Expert guides will be waiting to show you the highlights of Italy. Although, they will focus more on the hidden gems that only the locals are fully aware of. Now is the time to make memories with your family that will last a lifetime. This will be possible as you fall in love with the gorgeous countryside. And as you wander through the city streets in search of the perfect gelato. Think of all the laughter and joyful conversations you will have with your spouse and children.

Maybe this is a family adventure that the grandparents are invited on as well. Three generations together are perfect for making even better vacation memories.

Highlights of this Italy Family Adventure Include:

  • Touring The Colosseum
  • Private Guided Tours of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel
  • Private Tour of St. Peter’s Basilica
  • Ride Through Rome While Checking Out The Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon, Amongst Other Sites
  • Experience the Floating City of Venice During a Gondola Tour
  • Wander Through the Medieval Town of Orvieto
  • Wine Tasting at the Fioroni Family Winery
  • Learn How to Make Pasta at the Fattoria Poggio Alloro Farm in Tuscany
  • Explore Florence to Check Out the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Michelangelo’s David
  • Create Your Own Carnevale Mask at Tragicomica
  • Explore Doges Palace
  • Become a Pirate During a Pirate-Themed Dinner on the Jolly Roger

Day 1: Rome

Arrive in Rome and be transported from the airport to the Hotel Gran Meliá Rome. Check into your hotel, which is located right on the shoreline of River Tiber. You will need to wait to explore the lush gardens and swim in the pool. This is due to your guide taking you to The Colosseum for a tour. Immerse yourself in history, as you learn how this structure was used after it was built in AD 70-72. Afterwards, a welcome reception and private dinner will be held at the hotel.

Day 2: Rome

Today’s family adventure in Italy begins early with tours of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. These tours are private, so they will be worth the early morning wake-up call. Afterwards, a delicious breakfast back at the hotel will get you refueled for the rest of your day.

A stop at St. Peter’s Basilica is next and you won’t be ready to leave when it is time to board the motor coach for a tour of the city. However, you will be thrilled with the break and the opportunity to sit, as you experience history through the eyes of your expert guide.

A walking tour will get you closer to the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant when your walking tour is finished.

The afternoon will be all yours, as will the evening. This is the time to venture out to all those places you wanted to spend more time at earlier in the day.

Day 3: Rome, Tuscany

Day three begins with breakfast at your hotel before you travel to the town of Orvieto. The best way to experience Orvieto is to explore it on your own. You can’t get lost. Plus, you will want to find your own perfect spot to capture the Umbrian Valley views! Just don’t forget to stop into the Duomo di Orvieto. It is known for its Gothic appearance and details.

Lunch is at a local restaurant and then you will board the motor coach to drive to Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, Tuscany. You quickly check into the Hotel Borgo di Cortefreda. Enjoy a welcome drink and catch up with new friends. Of course, you should also be hopeful you can stay awake later to enjoy the outdoor pool, Finnish sauna, and Turkish bath. Although, you may be able to squeeze a short swim in before dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Tuscany

When in Tuscany, you must do what the locals do. Today is all about learning how to make pasta at Fattoria Poggio Alloro. It is a working farm and a winery. So, you get the best of both worlds. A few carbs to eat and some wine to drink!

Younger travelers can learn how to infuse olive oils, as the adults are enjoying their wine tasting. After the wine tasting, it will be time to eat lunch, as you gaze out over the picturesque farm.

The afternoon can be spent at the hotel, as you relax in a food coma. Or you can go shopping, as you wander around Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. Dinner will be served buffet-style in a 15th century castle.

Day 5: Tuscany and Florence

It is another day of traveling from one area of Italy to another. After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, you will be more than ready to relax during your trip to Florence. A guided tour of Florence will occur right after you arrive. This is when you can see the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza della Signoria up close. Of course, you will want to pay close attention to Michelangelo’s David as well.

After a quick lunch on your own, you will have a private VIP tour of Palazzo Vecchio. The halls are filled with masterpieces by Botticelli, Vasari, and Michelangelo. Family photos can be taken in medieval period costumes. Those photos will be cherished for many years.

The afternoon and evening will be yours to relax or explore all Florence has to offer. Then it will be back to your Tuscany hotel for a good night’s sleep.

Day 6: Tuscany and Venice

Your trip to Venice will begin after breakfast. You will board a high-speed train for this family adventure in Italy. The kids will love the free Wi-Fi, because it means they can check-in with friends. You will spend your time uploading pictures from your family vacation up to this point.

As a travel advisor, and a mom, I have a tip for you when it comes to pictures. Only share a few favorites. Save the rest for when you return home. This way you can enjoy the scenery outside the train’s windows!

When you arrive in Venice, you must be ready for your private gondola tour. Your gondola will take you near the Rialto Bridge, as you glide along the Grand Canal. After your gondola ride, you will be more than ready to go on your private walking tour of the Piazza San Marco. The expert tour guide will share multiple stories with you throughout the tour.

A private boat will whisk you away to the Hotel Hilton Molino Stucky. This hotel is located on Giudecca Island. The island is where a flour mill was once located. After a welcome reception, you will be free to enjoy dinner on your own at any restaurant in Venice. I recommend a trattoria, but there are many local restaurants that will be amazing too.

Day 7: Venice

A whole day in Venice awaits you on day seven of your Italy family adventure. After a delicious breakfast, you will tour the Doges Palace. Younger kids can play a detective game to prevent boredom.

Afterwards, the entire family will love making their own Carnevale mask at Tragicomica. An expert mask-maker will help you create your own masquerade masterpiece. The rest of the day will be spent on your own, as you explore your favorite places in Venice.

Just make sure you are back in time for a pirate-themed dinner on the Jolly Roger.

Day 8: Venice

The morning will be spent packing your bags and eating breakfast. Transportation will already be arranged for you, so you can get to the airport or train station in time for your departure home.

Your family time in Italy would have been memorable and you will be more than ready to share all your adventures with friends and family when you get home.

Have you longed to take the time to go on a family vacation of the West Coast? There are so many things to see and do in this part of the US, so I completely understand. In past conversations, I have asked people why they haven’t taken the time to explore this side of the country. Many of their responses included the fact they didn’t have time! Well, as a travel advisor, I may not be able to find time for you. But I can make sure you see nine cities in only ten days. Securing a private jet for your family vacation will allow you to visit more destinations in a short period of time. And it won’t cost you millions of dollars either.

Private jets are one of the newer modes of transportation for family vacations. Fewer hassles at the airport, no delayed boardings, and endless opportunities to simply enjoy time together as a family. Making memories with your family doesn’t need to be complicated or time-consuming. It simply needs to be well-planned, so you can savor every moment you have together.

Extraordinary Family Vacation on the West Coast

Napa Valley

With so many places to explore on the West Coast, it can be difficult to determine where to begin. However, I don’t think anyone can find a better destination than Napa Valley. When you are not tasting wines and touring vineyards, you may find yourselves amongst the redwood trees at the Muir Woods National Monument.

San Francisco

Your time in Napa Valley may seem shorter than you would like, but lots of fun is waiting for you down in San Francisco. This is where your family can see the Golden Gate Bridge, Nob Hill, Fisherman’s Wharf, and even the Full House/Fuller House home.

You won’t want to miss a trip out to Alcatraz Island either. The boat ride alone is something your kids will talk about for days.

Utah

It is all about the great outdoors once you get off the private jet near Bryce Canyon. This will be a day to put on your hiking boots. You can follow along the Rim Trail to see the massive rocks. Today is the day to capture a million Instagram-worthy pictures. You should probably get a few of the kids and yourself too!

The following day brings more outdoor family adventures at Zion National Park. The waterfalls of the trails are mesmerizing.

Arizona

Your arrival in Arizona will mark the halfway point of your family vacation on the West Coast. Your time in Arizona will include a quick visit to Antelope Canyon and the city of Flagstaff. Then it’s off to the Grand Canyon to see one of the natural wonders of the world.

Shopping with kids can be fun (maybe), so I can plan for a little time in the stores in Williams. This area is along Route 66, so you can check a couple more travel bucket list items off during this fascinating family vacation.

Unique conversations will be part of your day in Sedona. This is where you will all spend time at Montezuma Castle, Chapel of the Holy Cross, and even looking for UFOs. Imagine what your kids will say at each destination. Especially when it is time to look up at the sky after the sun sets.

Las Vegas

I am not sure who will be more excited about your arrival in Las Vegas. You will love the opportunity to win big on the slots. The kids may just love the vibrant atmosphere of this city that parties late into the night.

When you are not on The Strip, you will be out on a boat on Lake Mead, while admiring the Hoover Dam. Or you may be devouring chocolate at the Ethel M Chocolates Factory and Cactus Garden.

A second day in Las Vegas will have you wandering through the casinos and heading down to Fremont Street. A little ziplining may be in order before you settle into your seats to watch an exhilarating Cirque du Soleil performance.

After the show, you may not be ready for bed. However, a little sleep will be helpful before you board the private jet for one last time in the morning. Your family vacation on the West Coast has come to an end. And yet, you will have tons of memories to look back on from this time away from home.
