Heading over to the bush in Africa may be the only way you think you can take your family on safari. However, there are a few places where you can go on safari in the US. This is excellent news if you don\u2019t have the time to fly halfway across the world and experience jet lag! Plus, you can still experience the best safari life right here in the United States. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where to Go on Safari in the US<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

Kilimanjaro Safari in Florida<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

A quick plane ride to Florida is all you will need to do when you want to visit Kilimanjaro Safari. You will find this safari within Animal Kingdom at Disney World.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Okay, so this is only an eighteen-minute ride through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. It is an excellent way to see how younger kids will do on a lengthier safari though. There are thirty-four different animals living within the reserve. A guide will point them all out to you.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Point Reyes in California<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Point Reyes National Seashore contains seventy-one thousand acres of space. You will find this national seashore north of San Francisco. A visit to this safari in the US will have you seeing bobcats, tule elk, coyotes, and mountain lions.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you look out towards the water, elephant seals, orcas, sea lions, and other whales may be waiting for you.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wilds in Ohio<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

One of the largest conservation centers in the US is The Wilds in Ohio. This safari in the US began with wild horses back in 1992. The Wilds partners with the Columbus Zoo. That means you can see all types of animals roaming freely on the land. The animals you will want to see the most include rhinos, giraffes, and zebras.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Moose Safari in Maine<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

It is never as easy as it seems to see a moose in the wild in Maine. I prefer to head out on a safari near Moosehead Lake with a qualified guide. The result is always seeing at least one moose during the experience! These safaris are available via car or kayak. Choose the one your family will love the most and make those memories you will cherish forever.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a chance you will see black bears, deer, and bobcats during your adventures.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These are the best places to go on safari in the US. You may find a few others, and maybe one of those will make it to the top of your list. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
